DAY 1:
IQUITOS / LODGE
We start our adventure in the Peruvian jungle at the airport in Iquitos, we will move in a comfortable minivan with air conditioning (on a fully paved road) to the town of Nauta, the first village founded by Spaniards in the bank Marañón River, the trip takes about 1.30 h. with a distance of 97 Km.
Nauta on board the boats of the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge to visit the confluence of the Marañón and Ucayali rivers, where we will have a unique view of the birth of the Amazon River from an observation tower over 30 meters tall, then continue the journey to the lodge to accommodate us and have lunch. In the afternoon, while we made a walk through the woods surrounding the lodge, we will observe the flora and fauna of the area, depending on weather conditions can appreciate the beauty of the sunset.
If environmental conditions permit, in the evening take an excursion by boat to a creek in search of nocturnal animals and insects and hear the sounds from the jungle, then return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
DAY 2:
LODGE / QUEBRADA Nauta / LODGE
At dawn we will go around the area in search of birds, then return to the lodge for breakfast.
Immediately after we had our boat trip on the nearby Quebrada Nauta and gaps, where we will observe the flora and fauna of the area, such as primates, sloths, waterfowl, among others, we stop a moment to enjoy lunch under the cool shade of the huge trees that surround us later in our exploration in the primary forest, the guide will identify plants and trees of great interest.
In the evening return to lodge for dinner and rest.
DAY 3:
LODGE / RESERVE NATIONAL PACAYA Samiri / CAMP
At dawn we will go around the area in search of birds, then return to the lodge for breakfast.
Immediately following will go to the National Reserve Pacaya Samiria, where we will record and entering the reservation.
On our visit we will hike in search of pink dolphins and gray by the river Yanayacu also be in contact with the vast variety of flora and fauna in the reserve offers. The first thing that catches our attention is the river with such fidelity that reflect the sky, clouds, vegetation from the banks and the big trees, the visitor has the sensation of going sailing between endless mirrors, so Pacaya Samiria is also known as "the forest of mirrors."
At noon we stop for a moment to take our lunch cold. Visit to Japan and Plantano gaps, both with a variety of palm trees and a beautiful landscape but also canoe tours, fishing, hiking in search of more animals, or perhaps prefer to refresh in some of the gaps.
During the day arrive at the camp and we acomodoraremos, while at night after dinner, we expect a tour of the river in search of white or black alligators, birds and insects at night and hear the sounds from the jungle , moments after we return to camp to rest in our tents.
DAY 4:
CAMP IN THE NATIONAL RESERVE Samiri PACAYA
After breakfast, leave to enter the camp in the reserve. We will walk through the primary forest adjacent to a lake to observe the diverse flora and fauna that grows there, where you can see animals that are rarely seen and we will have the opportunity to observe in the heart of the reserve, a rest time cold to take our lunch and continue with the walk.
In the afternoon we will ride in a canoe on a nearby ravine, where we see a greater variety of birds and other animals, in addition to beautiful flowers and huge trees in the evening we return to camp where dinner and have a rest after a day filled with activity .
DAY 5:
CAMP / Native Community / LODGE
After breakfast we visit a native community and observe their daily activities, we will work with community development buying typical crafts, made of seeds and vegetable ivory tagua called.
In the afternoon have lunch and then return to the Amazon Lodge Pacaya Samiria in the tour will continue to observe the different species of birds and animals that are within our reach; hours later we return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
DAY 6:
LODGE / IQUITOS
After breakfast enjoy a day of fishing, as the inhabitants of the place is done, we can catch piranhas or other fish from the river, after this thrilling experience back to the lodge for lunch.
Will go to the airport in the city of Iquitos for flight back to Lima.
